Day 26 Inspiration for Smudgy Antics

Here is some inspiration for today, have been playing with a new image! =)

I needed something new for my frame and wanted to use one of the new digis from Alexandria Serrano at Smeared Ink called X-Ray Monocle Raven

The image is colored with promarkers and I added a little glitterpen too, but it's hard too see in the photo, I added a background paper also from Smeared Ink, from a paper pack called Caught In My Web! Then as the card base I used a dark brown cs.

Hope you will like my creation and that it will inspire you to join our Anything Goes challenge, just remember that you have to use Smeared Ink images to join in! =)

Monday's inspiration

Well here we are... Christmas/ Creepmas is nearly upon us.
You have ONE MORE WEEK to enter this months challenge.
The kids have finished school and are driving me crazy with carols and hymns,
mind you thats been happening since Novemeber.
I am putting the final touches to my Creepmas decked dining room.
Here we have NOEL.... Creepmas style.
Our pound stops have been stuffed to the seams with tacky Christmas stuff.... this Noel plaque was one such thing. I removed the cutesy glittered finish and made it dark and macabre.
I added dried berries and leaves that the girls and I have collected on our walks to school...
a bit of plastic greenery just for colour...
various plastic insects are crawling around... having fun.
The dimensional skull is a digi image from SMEARED INK... its 9x layers, fussy cut and decoupaged up using silicone, there is a tutorial for this technique on the forum.

Once solid the skull was dipped in my melting pot.
I added a santa hat..with fly and stuck it to the 'O' of ''Noel''
Thanks for stopping by..... there'll be another project from another designer tomorrow.

Inner Demon Inspiration...

Hi,

Some inspiration from me  this Saturday and I hope that those of you that are watching this is doing fine and got the creepmas black feel going this season :)

Made an mixed media kind of page...don´t know what to call this? Maybe someone else knows!? There are so many different names on these things...

I´ve used a new digi stamp from Smeared Ink made by very talented Alexandria Serrano "Inner Demon". colored it with copics. The black hands behind the image is a grumpy from the rubber club at Smeared Ink. The barbed wire is rubber from the rubber club as well called "urban decay" and the senti is from the rubber club too :D from the "as death" set. The background is a scrapbookpaper and I covered the page with mod podge.

I hope you like it..

Thanks!

Imspiration for 18th December and the current "Anything goes" challenge!

Time for me to inspire again here at Smudgy Antics using Smeared Ink images!

I used another Steampunk image and this time it's Steampunk Elf Christmas and he's colored with promarkers, added some glitter here and there but not sure it's showing on the pic! =)
He's added to a dp with Christmas trees and that is glued onto dark brown cs for hte cardbase.
I found my sheet of letters and Christmas sentiments so added the letters that says "God Jul" in swedish or Merry Christmas translated! =)

Don't forget that you have to use Smeared Ink images to enter the current "Anything Goes" challenge! =)

Wednesday's child is full of...

... poisonous gas and pirouettes.

Creepy Glowbugg here with my Smeared Ink inspiration for the day.
I've kind of been on a corrugated cardboard kick lately, and I had a piece
already distressed and cut to the perfect ATC size lying around....
So I made an ornament or a hanging of sorts.

I used some old and new art pastes, coupled with good ol' Stickles and
dew drops. I like the contrast between textures on this piece.
I used the strange, yet delicate 'Ballerina' image from the 'Toxic Ballerinas' set.
She just adds more glittery texture and contrast to the entire piece.

  Such a fun image!

Remember to enter our Anything Goes challenge here
with your creation using a Smeared Ink image.

Monday's Smudgy inspiration

At this time of year even grumpy ol' dragons
find themselves wanting to decorate their dwellings for the holiday season.
I was rather taken with a felt decoration a friend was making when she visited me a few weeks ago...
white felt snow men and red felt hearts.
I just knew I could make one but tailor it to my taste....
SO....here are my Poemen with black felt hearts.
I've hung 'em around my lamp... but will be moving  'em later.
I cut the Poeman shapes and the hearts out of felt... sew them together with a little wadding in each.
I added a little metal skull with a bow to each of the hearts.
The Poemen all have little distresses cravats.
I stamped POE from SMEARED INK onto small circles of cotton using STAZON.....
I then sew Poe's face to the ready stuffed snowmen.
Another decoration done.... just a few more to go.
Don't forget to enter our ANYTHING GOES CHALLENGE,
the link is on the side bar.
You'll see another project from another designer tomorrow.

Used a NEW powerful image "release" made by Alexandria Serrano and you can find this image along with a whole bunch of other fantastic images in the Smeared Ink Shop. I´ve used posca pens, copics and acrylic paint to doodle with. I´ve also used some glimmer mist, stencils and background stamps.

Thank you for watching my project!

Your daily dose of Smudgy Antics is here!

So how are you liking the daily dose of inspiration for
our new Anything Goes challenge? Pretty cool, right?
It's nice to keep the momentum going each week throughout
the entire month. The brilliant inspiration just never stops!

Even though I masquerade as Creepy Glowbugg, I do enjoy the
festivities of Creepmas. Especially the gift giving (and receiving).
Every year I am at a loss for gift tags. I don't know if maybe there
are gift tag eating rodents in the garage who dine exclusively on my
handmade tags and nothing else, but every year I have to make more tags.
Way more tags than I have ever used in one holiday.
I'm not really  a fan of the adhesive ones, although I usually end up using
them anyway with my constant shortage of homemade tags.

This year I have used Brass, the Steampunk Reindeer for a set of tags.

He is just too stinkin' cute, and perfect for weirdos and norms, alike!

And then I had to make some homemade specimen jar tags.
Friends and family expect nothing less from me anymore.

I put this guy together using my favorite little bear from the
Candy is Dandy rubber set, the empty specimen jar digi,
and the jar label digi.

Stamped a simple, "to: and from:" on the backs,
added some baker's twine, and viola!
I'm ready to start wrapping some gifts!

Be sure to stop by everyday for another fabulous gift of
DT inspiration. And if you're feeling creative, add your
Anything Goes (using a Smeared Ink rubber or digi image)
make here.
